So who is this Irish Magician?

Hailing from Thurles, Co Tipperary, Dan’s introduction to magic was at 10 years of age when he saw his local cobbler make his bowtie light up by pushing his nose. From that moment he was bitten by the magic bug.

Over the years since, Dan has gained a reputation amongst his peers for his skills in sleight of hand and refreshing style of close up magic. He has been awarded the All Ireland Magic Championship four times.

In the mid 1980’s Dan moved to Las Vegas to pursue his career and received tuition from legendary magicians performing there at time. He became the first Irish magician to gain full time close up work on the strip in Las Vegas and lived in the Entertainment Capital fo the world for a further six years performing fo audience made of high-rollers, CEO’S of major corporations and visitors from all over the world.

GUINNESS, WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS...

Dan was creator and presented over 1000 Guinness promotions entitled “Guinness, The Art of Magic” , which enabled him to perfom in all 32 counties in Ireland promoting Guinness through his skills as a close up magician. The promotion was the biggest of its kind to be commissioned by Guinness with a single performer and Dan travelled the country performing in venues ranging from the largest bars in Dublin to the smallest wild pub in Donegal!

THE GHOSTBUS TOUR OF DUBLIN

In 1995 Dan created the created the Original Ghost Walk of Dublin and the Dublin Ghostbus Tour and the world’s first Ghostbus (since copied by other companies elsewhere). operated by Dublin Bus although Dan continues to manage the artistic development of the Ghostbus and regularlay updates the tour by adding new scripts and variations on the tours so that visitors can return to a fresh tour each season.

STORYTELLING

Dan’s is also an accomplished story teller. His interest in Ireland’s history and folklore, tales of mythology annd has garnished a rich knowledge of Irish heritage which allows him to produce and perfom in many shows and festivals featuring story telling and traditional music as well as utilising his skills as a magician. On many occasions Dan has co-produced and performed in traditional Irish music and variety shows at legendary Leap Castle in Tipperary with his friend and fellow performer Sean Ryan. In fact Dan and his wife Georgia held their own wedding party in the unique surroundings of Leap castle together with their eclectic mixture of friends from the world of both magic and music.
